Shepherd Community Early Learning Scholars is a safe place for your 6-week-old through kindergartner while you are at work or school. When you drop your child off, you know they will be in a safe, loving place where they can learn and play until you return.
Open Hours That Work for You
Open 7am – 6pm
Drop off your child between 7 – 9 am and pick up your child any time before 6 pm.

You don’t have to go out of your way to drop your child off. Shepherd Community Early Learning Scholars is conveniently located in your neighborhood.
Meals and Snack Included
Breakfast and lunch served every day.
Your child will be well fed all day. Two meals, paired with two snack times, ensure that your child has the nutrition they need to grow up big and strong!
Safe and Healthy
Health and safety are major concerns, and we take them very seriously.
Our staff works diligently to maintain a clean and healthy environment by routinely cleaning and disinfecting classrooms and shared spaces to help reduce the spread of everyday illnesses. Children are observed throughout the day for signs of illness, and families are notified promptly if any concerns arise. Our facility is secure and monitored to prevent unauthorized entry, providing families with peace of mind while their children are in our care
CCDF Vouchers Accepted and Scholarship Available
Quality early learning made affordable.
Although CCDF is no longer providing new vouchers, we still accept existing CCDF vouchers. If finances are an issue, Shepherd Community Early Learning Scholars does offer scholarships for qualifying families.

Every room has been carefully designed by education and design experts to be a warm and engaging place for your child to safely learn and play. Each classroom has age- appropriate toys and activities to aid in your child’s development.
Our Staff
The staff of Shepherd Community Early Learning Scholars are well qualified and highly trained. All lead staff have, or are working towards, a Child Development Associate (CDA), associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or Child Development. Additionally, all staff receive 25 hours of extended training each year. Your child will not just be receiving safe care, they will be learning and growing, preparing them with a quality education to be successful in the classroom and in life.
